Using Online Consultations allows us to quickly and safely decide on the best way to help you, your child, or an adult in your care. We will aim to respond to your query within 72 hours during our opening hours
Please NOT DO submit medical requests as an Admin Request. They will not be dealt with and will be returned to you to resubmit as a medical request. This could result in delays in medical care. If advised to call the surgery or attend A&E or call 999/111 whilst completing the questionnaire please DO NOT ignore this advice. This online facility is NOT an emergency/urgent service.
If this service is ABUSED again we will have to switch it off again PERMANENTLY.
Patient safety is paramount.
It would be a shame to lose this service which improves patient convenience for more routine medical problems, because of a few people misusing it.
The number of medical requests is currently capped to maintain patient safety. We aim to increase the number of requests available each day over time in a controlled way to ensure this service remains safe to use. The "opening hours" of this service should also hopefully be extended as long as this remains safe.
